Nice seasonal debut for Kosmic and Alessandro Bressan

The Winter Cup, opening race of the international karting, brought us positive results. The final outcome is not truthful and the 11th position in the KF1 category of Alessandro Bressan doesn’t reflect the real performances of blue drivers, who were excellent during all the week-end at South Garda.
The positions gained by our KF1 drivers in the semi-finals are more truthful, Bolligtoft and Bressan have been placed 5th and 3rd respectively.
In the final the Dane was victim of the exuberance of one rival, but both driver had great performances and this means that the material worked in a perfect way.
A well organized test program and the faster possibility to improve the material in comparison with last year, make us more confident. All this is in virtue of the new logistic organization of the Racing team, based in Italy.
The new testing bench of the team manager Marechal is producing some great results and now we are all waiting for the second race before the début in the WSK series, the Margutti Trophy.
We have good news also from KF2 and from William Benedetti, the new signing has always been in the top ten and the withdrawal in the final arrived when the 6th place was practically gained.
In the next events we will use new developed materials and the whole team is working hard in order to improve the world podium reached in the 2007, with a new line-up covering soon all the categories.

Olivier Marechal – Team Manager Kosmic Racing Department:
We went well until the finals, Benedetti in KF2 was 6th . It was a good result for a driver competing his first high level race. We were fast in KF1 too, unfortunately Bollingtoft had an accident, but he was racing with good lap times. Bressan started well, but he also a problem that we haven’t discovered yet, I think it could have been a reed to slow him down. However we are working well and I’m confident this season will be great.”

Alessandro Bressan – Driver Kosmic Racing Department KF1
I went very well and at the beginning of the race I had a good pace, then…I don’t know exactly what happened, we have to verify, my times started to decrease and I couldn’t do anything more…
Howevwer I’m satisfied with speed performances of my kart, I’m sorry for having missed the result, we were excited after the semi-final and we were thinking we could have won. I was optimist. In spite of this the potential was excellent and I’m happy
.”

William Benedetti – Driver Kosmic Racing Department KF2
I am satisfied! This is my first race at such an high level, until now I raced only in French Championship. I’m particularly happy for the team, I get on very well with all my team-mates and they are very professional. I liked also the engine very much and all the kart in general. I hope to do even better in the Trophy in Parma, a very difficult track where I will have to do some practice because I don’t know it very well.”
